The Gildan 5000 is a 5.3-ounce, 100% US cotton T-shirt with a classic fit and a seamless tubular body. It is the standard-issue printed work shirt in the United States - crew shirts, shop uniforms, church and school events, giveaways, fundraisers. Wholesale Caps and Embroidery DTF prints and embroiders it in-house at our Houston, TX facility, where we have been decorating apparel for businesses since 1979.

DTF (direct-to-film) printing is the workhorse method here. The seamless body has no side seams to work around, so a full front or full back print lays down flat and even, and 100% cotton takes the transfer about as well as any surface in apparel - full-color art, gradients, photos and a run of one all print the same way, with no minimum order. Left chest embroidery is available too, for crews that want a stitched company mark, at a 6-piece minimum.

Sizes and colors can be mixed on the same order - DTF print has no minimum, while embroidery needs at least 6 pieces total - so a run of mixed colors for different departments is straightforward either way.

Is the 5000 a good shirt for large DTF prints?
It is one of the best. The body is seamless, so there are no side seams to distort a wide front or back print, and 100% cotton takes a DTF transfer with strong opacity even on black. For a more finished, uniform mark we also offer left-chest embroidery. Either way you approve placement and colors on a free mockup first.

Do you keep my artwork on file for reorders?
Yes. Once your logo is digitized for embroidery or set up as a DTF file, we keep it on file at our Houston facility. Reorders skip setup entirely - you tell us the style, colors and size run, and we print from the file we already have. That keeps a second run cheaper and keeps your logo identical from the first shirt to the five hundredth.

Can the same logo go on other styles?
Yes, and it is a common request. Shops routinely run the 5000 for the floor, the 5400 long sleeve for winter and embroidered caps for the drivers. Mixing categories is fine on one order too - shirts, polos and embroidered caps can all carry the same mark. Just note that DTF-printed shirts have no minimum and can be ordered one at a time, embroidered shirts need at least 6 pieces, and caps are ordered in multiples of 12.

How long does production take?
Production is 7-10 business days from the moment you approve the digital mockup, and ground shipping on most orders is free. Rush production is available on request - tell us your event date when you send the artwork and we will confirm what is possible before you pay.
