Product Description
Short Sleeve UV Daybreak Shirt W961, Embroidered With Your Logo
The Port Authority Short Sleeve UV Daybreak Shirt (W961) is a 2.2-ounce 100% polyester poplin vented short-sleeve shirt rated UPF 30, with a hidden button-down collar and two flap chest pockets, sold embroidered with a company logo. Lot attendants, delivery crews, dockhands, warehouse supervisors and summer event staff wear it. Wholesale Caps and Embroidery decorates it in-house at our Houston, TX facility, in business since 1979.
Embroidery is the primary method. The short sleeve removes the sleeve-logo option most long-sleeve programs use, so placement usually lands above the left chest pocket or on the back yoke — we work around the concealment flaps either way. On the plaid colorways, thread choice matters more than usual; we will show contrast options on the mockup so the logo does not disappear into the pattern.
Product Features
- 2.2-ounce, 100% polyester poplin (2.5-ounce White, 2.1-ounce plaids)
- UPF rating of 30 with moisture-wicking finish
- Hidden button-down collar; dyed-to-match buttons, translucent on plaids
- Two chest pockets with concealment flaps and hook and loop closures
- Vented back panel with mesh ventilation; straight hem with side vents
- 12 colors including two plaids: Silver/Gusty Grey Crosshatch and True Royal/White Mini
Why Buyers Pick It
Two plaid colorways change what this shirt can be. A solid poplin reads as a uniform; the Crosshatch and Mini Plaid options read as a shirt a manager picked out, which is why dealerships, marinas and hospitality operations use them for customer-facing roles while keeping solids for the yard. Same UPF 30, same vented back, same pockets — you just get to signal a different level of formality without running two different programs.
Sizing
XS through 4XL, eight sizes with 2XL, 3XL and 4XL in the extended range. Twelve colors, including the two plaids, can be mixed with any sizes in a single order — there is no minimum, so ordering one plaid for a supervisor and solids for the crew is a single, ordinary order. The long-sleeve version is the Long Sleeve UV Daybreak Shirt W960; the women's long-sleeve cut is the LW960. More styles in dress shirts.
How to Order
There is no minimum on this style — order a single piece if that is all you need, or several hundred for a full rollout. Send your logo in any usable format and we return a free digital mockup showing exact size, placement and thread colors; nothing goes to production until you approve it. Production runs 7-10 business days from proof approval, with rush available on request, and most orders ship free ground.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the custom W961 short sleeve UV Daybreak shirt?
It is a vented short-sleeve polyester poplin shirt with a UPF 30 rating, embroidered with your logo. Wholesale Caps and Embroidery is a decorator — we embroider in-house at our Houston, TX facility rather than sending work to a broker.
Do I have to meet a minimum quantity?
No. There is no minimum and you can order a single piece. Headwear is the exception in our catalog, where cap orders start at 12 pieces.
What sizes and fabric weights should I expect?
XS through 4XL. The body fabric is 2.2-ounce polyester poplin; White runs 2.5-ounce and the plaid colorways run 2.1-ounce. All carry the same UPF 30 rating.
How do you embroider on the plaid colorways?
Carefully chosen thread is the whole job. A pattern competes with a logo, so we propose contrasting or solid-block thread treatments and show them against the specific plaid on your free digital mockup before anything is stitched.
What happens to my logo file after the first order?
It stays on file with us. Your digitized embroidery file and any print art are stored at our Houston facility, so a reorder six months or six years later matches the first run and carries no new setup.
Can I order this alongside other apparel and caps?
You can. Mix styles, colors and sizes in one order — there is no quantity tier to reach. Apparel carries no minimum, so a single piece of each is fine. Caps are the exception: headwear orders start at 12 pieces.
What is the turnaround time?
Count on 7-10 business days after proof approval, plus transit. Most orders ship free ground. If you are working against an event date, ask about rush — we can often compress the schedule.
Twelve colors, two plaids, XS to 4XL, no minimum. Send the logo and we will mock it up free.
Proof
Proof
- After your order is placed, we enter it into our system and send an "Artwork & Mockup Approval" email within 24-36 hours. This is to verify design, design placement, size, and product colors.
- Once you approve the artwork mockup, we create the .dst file (stitch file). This file is used to tell our embroidery machines what to stitch. Note: Cancellation after this step incurs a $30 restocking fee.
- We create a sewout and/or update the mockup using the .dst file and send it to you for approval. It's at this point where you want to make sure all colors, size, and placement are as requested.
- You may request changes to the same design before sewout and/or .dst approval. A completely new design request at this stage incurs a $30 fee.
- After final approval, production begins. Once items are decorated, the order is non-refundable unless there is a defect in the product or decoration.
