The Port Authority Tall Core Soft Shell Jacket (TLJ317) is the tall-sized version of the Core Soft Shell: a 100% polyester woven shell bonded to a water-resistant film insert over a polyester microfleece lining, rated 1000MM waterproof and 1000G/M2 breathable. It is bought by companies whose uniform program has to fit taller employees without riding up at the cuff or hem. Lead with embroidery. On a tall body the left chest placement sits slightly lower than on a regular cut, and we set the mockup to the actual garment so the logo lines up across your whole team. Flat stitch and 3D puff are both available, patches work well if you want a badge or a name panel, and DTF print handles gradient-heavy art. All decoration happens in our Houston building.

LT through 4XLT add body length and sleeve length over the regular cut, so the hem and cuffs sit where they should on taller wearers. The fabric, lining, waterproof rating and colors are identical to the regular J317, so a mixed order still looks like one uniform.

Does the logo placement change on a tall jacket?
Slightly. We set the left chest embroidery to the actual tall body so it reads at the same visual height as it does on the regular cut. You will see the exact position on the free digital mockup before anything is stitched.

What happens to our logo file after the first order?
It stays with us. Your digitized file is stored under your account, so a reorder six months or six years later stitches out identically — and you skip the setup step entirely.

Can we run one logo across several styles?
That is the normal request. We stitch the same logo on the Tall Core Soft Shell Jacket and on any other apparel you order, and caps can go on the same purchase order. Apparel carries no minimum; the cap portion starts at 12 pieces.

What is your turnaround time?
Production runs 7–10 business days after proof approval. The clock starts when you approve the mockup, not when you place the order, so approving quickly is the fastest thing you can do. Rush is available on request.

1. After your order is placed, we enter it into our system and send an "Artwork & Mockup Approval" email within 24-36 hours. This is to verify design, design placement, size, and product colors.
2. Once you approve the artwork mockup, we create the .dst file (stitch file). This file is used to tell our embroidery machines what to stitch. Note: Cancellation after this step incurs a $30 restocking fee.
3. We create a sewout and/or update the mockup using the .dst file and send it to you for approval. It's at this point where you want to make sure all colors, size, and placement are as requested.
4. You may request changes to the same design before sewout and/or .dst approval. A completely new design request at this stage incurs a $30 fee.
5. After final approval, production begins. Once items are decorated, the order is non-refundable unless there is a defect in the product or decoration.

A $30 setup fee is automatically added to the cart and required for all orders. This covers the order processing costs.
